Project Wee Care Collections
Dear Highlands families,
On behalf of Wee Care and the Samaritan House we'd like to thank you for your generous donations during our October drive for breakfast items. Highlands continues to show their care for those less fortunate.
We are now kicking off our biggest drive of the year, the holiday toy drive. Your generous donations will enable the Samaritan house to provide holiday cheer to more than 3,500 children, teens and family members who would otherwise miss out during this holiday season. Please have your student bring a new toy for a child of any age to the blue Samaritan House collection bins located around campus. Toys do not need to be age specific nor do they need to be gift wrapped.
Collections will begin onNovember 13th and end on December 12th. Please remember the families in need within our community as you do your holiday shopping!
*Don't forget, November 29th is Highlands Talbots shopping night. You can double up your giving by picking up a toy for the Holiday Toy Drive while 10% of your purchase goes to Highlands!
Local Business Expo
Calling all local business owners,
Start 2018 strong by growing your business while supporting our school! We are looking for local vendors to participate in the first ever Highlands Business Expo. Come show off your wares while neighbors shop leisurely at your table OR promote your business by donating services that will be auctioned off during the night. Participation in the expo will include advertisement of your business.
Highlands parents and residents will receive priority to register for a table. Registration will be available to neighboring businesses after Nov. 15th. The cost of registering a table is $100. All proceeds raised from the registration and auction will be donated to the Highlands PTA to support programs for Highlands Elementary students.
