SUPPORT OUR SCHOOL!!
School Board Meeting
Ever wonder why our LGI hasn't been updated since the school was built? Or why the district wants to spend money replacing all of our play structures while we have old crusty windows the kids can't see out of?
There is going to be a special School Board meeting to discuss how previous facility-improvement bond Measures X and L funding is being spent on Weds (12/20) at 7pm at the district office which anyone can go to. We need people to go to the meeting so we can demonstrate to the new school board what we really want for our school. The more that we start asking questions the more we can get what the school really needs (new LGI?!).
If you have been interested in advocating for Highlands, but haven't been sure how to be involved, this is great bang for your buck. Please come for a bit if you can Weds 12/20 at 7pm at the District Office 1170 Chess Drive, Foster City.
Highlands Business Expo
WANTED:Auction items to help raise money for Highlands Elementary!
The 1st ever Highlands Business Expo is on February 3, 2018
Promote your business by donating services that will be auctioned off during the night. Don’t own a business, but want to help support our school? Consider donating a neighborly service that your neighbors and friends can bid on. Love to cook? Host a dinner party for 8. Love to organize? Donate your time and help the winners clean out their closets. Know how to play an instrument? Offer to give a kid some lessons. Strong like ox? Help someone with a project around the house.
Got a Christmas present that you don't love but can't exchange, consider donating it to either the auction or the raffle. It's a great way to recycle gifts while supporting our school!
