Thank you for volunteering to be a Room Parent at Highlands!

 

Your time and effort help our teachers and our school have a more enriched experience. Below you will find information and documents to help you throughout the school year.

 

Recommended room parent tasks:

  • Initial meeting with the teacher to discuss teacher needs & preferences and class party dates, etc.
  • Send welcome email to the families via ParentSquare (room parents have access to message the student's parents)
  • Collect funds for the year (~$20-40 per student). These funds pay for presents for teachers (teacher's birthday, teacher appreciation week, etc.) and class parties.
  • Plan class/grade parties (check scope of work with teacher)
  • Inform parents about school and PTA events
